45 Years of the West Highland Way: Stories to Inspire

For the past five years, we’ve celebrated the West Highland Way with stories, poems, pictures, videos, and paintings, a true reflection of the love people across the world have for Scotland’s most famous Great Trail.

This year, to mark our 45th anniversary, we’ve gathered a special collection of stories for you to enjoy. Read about the inspirational walker from Gourock who completed his 100th West Highland Way just before his 70th birthday. Discover the newly established West Highland Way Trust, created to protect the path and its infrastructure for future generations, and learn why the charity’s work is so vital.
